Efficient Remote Meter Reading for Special Contract Customers
Hamburg, 3 May 2011
Dr. Neuhaus Telekommunikation announces the launch of a new modem for the efficient remote reading of industrial meters. The product, which is known as the ZDUE-GPRS-PLUS-VI, enables the automated reading of electricity meters and meters in other sectors via mobile communications on the basis of GRPS technology.
The new modem offers an extensive range of product features at a very attractive price. The meters can be connected flexibly via RS232, RS485 or the current-loop interface. The ZDUE-GPRS-PLUS-VI makes it particularly easy for customers to switch over from GSM to GPRS communications. There is no need to exchange the meter or make any changes to the control center and the metering points continue to operate after the upgrade virtually as before.
The product supports SIM cards with dynamic or fixed IP addresses. Thanks to intelligent connection monitoring, the device exhibits highest system stability and highly reliable data transmission. In addition to GPRS communications, operation in GSM mode (CSD) is also still supported.
“Using the affordably priced ZDUE-GPRS-PLUS-VI modem to switch over from GSM to GPRS communications is often the most efficient solution to react to the current technical changes in mobile communications networks,” commented Ludger Böggering, head of Marketing and Product Management. “Customers profit from our decades of experience in the field of industrial M2M communications and the maximum reliability of this device.”
Supply sources and availability
The ZDUE-GPRS-PLUS-VI is available starting immediately and can be ordered directly from Dr. Neuhaus.
